About Lauren

Lauren White is an accomplished Los Angeles-based jazz singer and recording artist with a beautiful and versatile voice. Her five albums have been well received and enjoyed wide national radio airplay. Her most recent album is “Making It Up As We Go Along,” (2024) and follows “Ever Since the World Ended” (2021),  “Life in the Modern World” (2019), “Meant to Be” (2017), “Out of the Past: Jazz & Noir” (2016) and “Experiment” (2015). All About Jazz has said, “White has gilded pipes of her own and Swiss-watch swing. Her lyric interaction is savvy and not overdone, even on more lyric-intensive tracks. Her approach to her material has an air of exploration and development.”

Lauren attended NYU and afterwards acted in television soap operas, including The Doctors, and How to Survive a Marriage. She performed in off-Broadway shows (Zorba, Guys & Dolls, Company) and understudied on Broadway before becoming a regular on the New York jazz and cabaret circuit.

Besides being an accomplished singer, Lauren has also found considerable success as a producer on the hit HBO show Homeland. The show ran for eight seasons and wrapped in 2020. A regular at many clubs in Los Angeles, including Catalina Bar & Grill, the legendary Cinegrill, and the Bel Age Hotel, she has also performed at Pangea, the Metropolitan Room, and the Triad in New York City.
